Tamping Rammer JHC-70 w/ Engine Honda GX100 3HP
Tamping rammers, also called jumping jacks or jack rammers, are ideal for soil with a 13% moisture range. Regarding soil type, they should be used with cohesive soil.
Cohesive soil refers to clay or any soil type with high clay content. This soil holds together firmly, especially when wet. The cohesive soil is difficult to break up when dry and does not crumble.
Avoid utilizing rammers on gravel or asphalt, as it could damage the machine. Furthermore, rammers won’t work on granular material. If you attempt to use one on such soil, you’ll only create a hole.
